Modelling may not seem like an obvious choice to add to the list above, but we often receive many jobs requiring couples of all ages. Pretty much all our clients have at some point needed two models for a variety of assignments, so we’re appealing to real-life couples to realise their dream of earning good money working with top brands throughput the UK.   

The merits of modelling as couples are obvious. Modelling is an incredibly fun way to earn extra money – the plethora of reviews highlight this. Often, couples have even more fun, as they can make memories by trying something new, or indeed continue to strengthen portfolios by adding more photos to attract the attention of more clients.

Whether you’re an experienced modelling couple or new to the industry, our clients are always eager to see what you have to offer. We have had plenty of requests for couple models, and we’re lucky enough to have a list of talent that can pose as couples. However, as smoothly as those assignments have gone, requests for real-life couples regularly land in our inbox – the demand is there, so the only question for couples is, “Why couldn’t we do that?”

The answer is that you both could, and it’s probably easier than you’d imagine.

We’ll highlight three different requests from clients requiring two models apiece to give you an idea what couples can expect:

• Earlier in the year we were asked to source a real-life couple between the ages of 20 – 55 years. They were needed for a bridal photo shoot, so clearly the chemistry a real couple has was essential for the assignment.   
• A recent promotional shoot required a mother and daughter to pose in front of the cameras. Family modelling is always an effective way to reach out to audiences, so whether two models pretend to be a real couple, or a genuine family couple is chosen, these types of assignments are always popular.
• We were asked to put forward a parent-and-child combo for a health and fitness shoot. Couples can really bring a shoot to life, crammed with smiles, hugs and genuine affection that shines on assignment.

We’ve provided numerous couples for our clients, and their popularity is increasing – just as most other types of models are. We’ve seen no slump in the demand for models, and couples are as highly sought after as they’ve ever been.  

As much as two strangers can pose as a couple with great results, there’s no substitute for real-life couples. Same gender couples, mature married couples, newly-weds…we’d love to hear from any couple that wants to dip their collective toes in the world of commercial modelling. All it takes is a little confidence, a dose of research, and a quick application. This season is going to be the busiest ever for summer weddings, given all the brides and grooms-to-be who have had to put their plans on hold for the past 18 months.

Weddings are not only planned for weekends over the coming weeks, but they have also been scheduled for weekdays too to ensure those who want to tie the knot this summer are able to do so.

This summer, there will also be something extra special – even more magical than usual –about all the weddings that take place.

Not only have people had to wait, but everyone has been through such a difficult time, and we are all so looking forward to celebrating with friends and family again.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, all this talk of tying the knot and the burst of activity currently being experienced by the wedding industry has sparked strong demand for bridal models.

Bridal models (and indeed wedding models of all types, including grooms, bridesmaids and best men) are always in high demand.

From wedding dresses and other outfits to venues, florists, caterers and entertainment, marriages represent big business and that means significant amounts of advertising.

Assignments for those involved in the wedding industry can range from film and photo shoots for clothing ranges to live fashion shows, promotions and events.

They often involve female models posing as brides, but can also require male models, senior models and even child models, when couples or family groups are needed.

Real couples and families are often requested for couples modelling and family modelling, so Models Direct likes nothing better than to be able to suggest those who are in genuine relationships and households.

Despite the easing of restrictions, many of our clients are still keen to book models who are in the same social bubbles, just in case the situation changes.

Types of relationships

Relationships come in many forms but the five basic types are self, friendship, family, romantic and professional. All types are important to us as humans and when we maintain strong bonds and connections with other people and have a good relationship with ourselves, we can improve the quality of our life. We can share precious moments and times with the people we love and care for as we are social creatures built to thrive in the presence of others.

The relationship that we have with ourselves is probably the most vital out of the other types mentioned above. Why? Because if we are content and satisfied with ourselves; if we love and appreciate ourselves; if we are comfortable in our own skin and essentially embrace who we are, this then reflects in all our other relationships. If we feel positive within our minds and bodies, this will impact on all our surrounding relationships. Self-love isn’t vanity, it’s a necessity.

What relationships can mean to us

Relationships and love can give us meaning and purpose to life. They can give us with strength, security and positivity, lifting us out of darkness and bringing us happiness, light and hope for today and the future. And especially now, given the turbulent times we are facing across the world, relationships are more important now than ever.

As for our romantic relationships, we’re breaking barriers and loving people regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity or religion. Diversity is thriving and should continue to because we’re all equal and we all matter regardless of what we look like. Love has no boundaries.
